Condition

According to information from Mercedes-Benz Classic, the Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Cabrio was delivered in June 1968 via the branch in Mainz.
First owner was Mr. Ludwig Eckes (1913-1984) who bought the car from MB Mainz.
Mr. Ludwig Eckes was married to Mrs. Marianne Chantré and had a son and a daughter named Heidrun Eckes-Chantré (wine & schnapps dynasty).
Daughter Heidrun Eckes-Chantré was first married in London to Mr. John Victory Khayat, the son from this marriage is Omar John Khayat. Therefore, the vehicle was registered in the meantime from 1996-2010 on London (registration “20 JK”).
In 2010 the vehicle was then re-registered in Switzerland, verifiable on the basis of invoices. The vehicle was finally deregistered in Switzerland in September 2016 and transferred to Germany in January 2017.
This was followed by extensive maintenance measures and the vehicle then received its H approval and was sold to the Dudenhöfer family in Berlin. But in the same year (2017) the vehicle was sold to its current owner, who only moved the vehicle for 600 km. Neither the current owner, nor the Dudenhöfer family have approved the vehicle, so the vehicle only has an official owner in the papers.

The unusual thing about this vehicle is clearly the rare color combination.
The dark red color looks completely different depending on the light. In the shade, the convertible looks almost black, in direct sunlight – from a distance – it appears in a dark violet tone and on closer inspection under the sun you can see the beautiful dark red.
